I had this kit before, as I liked the fact that the motor had the controller built into the wheel itself. This made for a easier installation, and a much cleaner one. I also got tired of having issues with front motors not working well with the forks. Having the motor in the back, meant I could install whatever fork I wanted. This however isn’t with it’s drawbacks. With the motor and battery being in the back. It makes for a very rear heavy bike and can be tricky when trying to bring the bike up or downstairs, as the front of the bike wants to lift up on you. The plus side however, is you get more traction in the rear. The kit has a ton of torque, so sometimes you have to watch how quickly you take off. The thumb throttle I found, gave more a stronger take off and was tricky to control the speeds. This is why I prefer a twist throttle, and it’s because it’s what I’m used to. Each is own I guess, as some like the thumb throttle. I did have some setbacks at the start with the kit. However, after much patience and time. Gary was able to get me up and running.
