The project was to replace the 24 volt battery on my Xootr which had been previously modified to include 20 Inch Magic Pie 5 on the rear wheel and the V2.4 cycle analyst. The Shark pack mounted on the same holes the 24V battery used. While the throttle is a 24 Volt model, it will still throttle on the 48 Volt system. The cycle analyst will give battery AH used, so I see no need to get the 48V throttle. I had to change the power connector for the 48 Volt battery on the bike side. The 48V connectors did pull apart in the process clamping the harness to the bike. They did reconnect no problem, but I might go for a beefier connector. Last the Magic Pie had to be connected to my computer to program it for 48 Volts. That took a couple passes to get Upload and DnLoad figured out.
So it is all working now and has all of 1.5 miles on it. I am getting the acceleration and speed I want. Range is the next criteria, and why I upgraded in the first place. For the higher voltage and AmpHours, the battery is not significantly larger than the 24V it replaces. As you can see from the pictures, mounting the bike requires some leg stretching, so that was important also.
