Battery Options:Â
- This kit comes with everything you need to convert your bicycle minus battery and charger which you can add now or later.
- Any of our 24, 36, 48, or 52 volt batteries will work with this kit.
- 52 volts will get you more power and higher top speed.
- 48 volt battery will get you a little less power and top speed  but will be more reliable.
Once you have picked the voltage then you just need to pick the size. The higher the AH the farther the battery will take you.
A 10ah battery will give you 25 miles on average. A 20ah battery should get you 50 miles. More ah means bigger in size, more weight and harder to mount.

Complete ebike done. What a great frame and motor combination. Two motors are crazy. Thank you.

Motor runs great. Smooth and pretty powerful. I was a little disappointed that you have to buy the dongle to actually use the bluetooth. Other then that its a good motor.

Since this was my first build I installed the basic system and rode a few hundred miles which was 36v 17amp. I then customize the install by upgrading to 48v 25amp battery, adding my color matched battery box, cycle analyst, PAS, a Regen switch (without brakes) which brakes the rear wheel to the point that I don’t need to use my hand brakes unless a want a full stop, a 48v to 12v buck step down that powers all my accessories, power and reverse switch is under my seat, shrink wrapped all wires and somewhat hid them. I still have a few things to do. I found most of the information that I needed to do this build on the forum and in the YouTube videos. I did talk to Gary a couple times and found his customer support to be very good & helpful. The speed without peddling tops out at about 30 mph on the level which is great considering that Catrike with me in it weighed about 325 pounds. I normally always peddle and use the cruise control and throttle help maintain my desired speed. I’m 71 with both an artificial hip and knee. This build produced a trike that allows me to ride anytime anywhere. I just got back from riding 198 miles on the Natchez Trace with 9 spandex riders and I could maintain any pace that I desired.

My wife and I love our new empowered tandem we named Zipper. The project was fairly simple and the Magic Pie kit with a 52v 20ah battery is simply amazing. Thanks GoldenMotor.bike! – Michael J – Jul 23, 2018

GM Magic Pie 5. These motors are very powerful. Both of the bikes I installed them on go 30+ mph with 48v LifeP04 battery. Great product!

I just finish to assemble my E-Bike 26” Magic Pie 5 , 48V 1000W, GT i-Drive Carbon Team Limited Edition. Up to 44.7 km/hrs, good torque, good consummation, great motor, with the controller inside the wheel leaving the frame free of wires and box.

I built a trail bike where I enjoyed going through the hills up and down. I like the fact that the controller is built into the hub, the motor is strong and seems reliable. I had a controller failed most likely due to overvoltage from regen braking due to fast steep downhill but after it was replaced with warranty I disabled the regen braking and it never happened again. I enjoyed riding the trails with less effort more now. Happy with the purchase and great support from GM.
