Great kit.the 36v 500w is perfect for commuting with mixed street and trails and able to tackle decent hills with ease. My commute is 27km and has a nice mix of everything street/trails/hills.
If bigger/steeper hard off road hills were your top terrain you would definitely want the 750w at minimum, 1000w most likely.

i am happy with my BBS02, i am not new to ebike as I have been riding an ebike for commuting for a few years but I wanted something for trail and back roads riding mostly for climbing long hills. The BBS02 has been excellent for that, i git à 36V motor and I mounted it on a hard tail mountain bike and I have had a lot of fun on it. I geared it low, so it is a slow bike and mounted a small battery but the whole thing without bags weights around 45lb and I still get over 100km on a charge! What I really like is that it feels like a bicycle rather than a small motorcycle and I still get plenty of exercise, the only difference is that I can cover more ground and get to the trails faster. It has also allowed my girlfriend to join me on rides, I ride my non ebike while she rides the BBS02 ebike and she adjust the settings so we go at he same speed (I used to ride alone as I am faster especially for climbing) and it has been prefect, great for our relationship! (Let me know if you want a couple of pictures and I of course would like a discount on future items as I would like to convert another bike, thank you!) - Simon R - Feb 05, 2020

Just replace my 36 volt 250 watt rear wheel drive with GM's 36 volt 500 watt mid drive. I am running 26in×2.4s, and what a difference, very quiet, almost silent and amazing torque. Still getting used to the pedal assist, but really happy overall - Stanley M - Oct 7, 2019
