BLDC 800 Watt Motor

The BLT-800 is an 800W, 48V brushless motor from Golden Motor's BLT series of medium-speed, high-torque motors built for electric tricycles. It's the fastest and most powerful of the series, made for adult drift trikes, e-trikes and light EVs that need more top speed.

48V Bench Test Results

From the factory test data (linked below), at 48V the BLT-800 spins 1,333 rpm with no load. Peak efficiency of 85.2% comes at 1,160 rpm and 6.18 N·m (751W output). Its maximum output was 972W at 1,016 rpm and 9.14 N·m, drawing 25.2A.

Choosing a Controller

Use a 3-phase BLDC controller that matches your battery voltage. The Golden Motor 2000W BLDC Controller runs on 24V to 60V and is PC programmable, so you can set the current limit to suit this motor. The 650W BLT-650 is the step down and the 1500W BLDC-108 is the step up.
