Lekkie 40T Bafang BBSHD Stainless Steel Chainring and Drive Cover Set

The toughest 40T ring for the BBSHD: 316 stainless steel

If you've ever worn out an aluminum chainring, this is the upgrade. The Bling Ring of Steel is machined from 316 stainless steel, so it's far more resistant to wear and corrosion than alloy rings, while still using a slim profile that leaves room for a great chain line. It's ideal for high-mileage riders, mountain bikers, and anyone riding in wet, muddy or sandy conditions.

At 40 teeth you get low climbing gearing for technical trails. Lekkie fits a slimmer replacement drive cover on the motor to free up the room needed for a 40T ring, and this ring uses Lekkie's largest offset to pull the chain line as far inboard as possible for modern MTB builds.

What's in the box

• 40T Bling Ring of Steel (316 stainless)
• Lekkie CNC 6061 aluminum drive cover in red or black
• 2mm Bling Ring spacer
• Antijam block, which fills the gap between ring and motor so a dropped chain can't jam and gets guided back onto the ring. It also stops stones getting trapped behind the ring.

Important: any 40T ring on a Bafang must run with the Lekkie drive cover. That's why this is a complete set.

Chain compatibility

The tooth profile is optimized for 10–12 speed chains, including Shimano 12-speed, SRAM Eagle and KMC 12-speed. It picks up the chain smoothly even when the chain line isn't perfect. It will run 8–9 speed chains, but a narrower chain is preferred. Not compatible with half-link chains, KMC X101 or KMC Z1eHX.

Fitment notes

• Need the chain line farther out? Add BBSHD Bling Ring spacers as needed.
• Bafang M625: the ring can be used but won't run at full offset without modification, must be spaced out with spacers, and the Antijam won't fit.
• Lekkie offers an optional chain guard for extra retention.
