What an easy install! I purchased this to install on a Surly Karate Monkey. I had to shim the drive side of the motor and I’m impressed that I can still use the 12spd drivetrain. I put 70 miles on the bike in a few days between street, trail and hill climbs. Everything was simple and the one question I had Zar got back to me right away. Golden motor has become the online store I visit the most.

The needle bearings inside my nylon gear started to fail (most likely from heat building up in the BBS O2) I was getting periodic pedal assist-(ghost pedaling )from what im understanding.Changing out the nylon gear solved my problem. it was hard finding the needle bearing so I just bought another nylon gear. Thanks golden motor.
