Product Description
The proper tool for Bafang's 4-notch inner lock nut
The inner lock nut on a Bafang mid-drive uses an unusual 4-notch pattern that standard bike tools don't fit. Without the right socket, people end up using hammers and punches, which damages the nut and never gets it to the correct torque. The Lekkie Four-42 is a precision socket made for exactly this nut.
It's CNC machined from forged 7075 T6 aluminum. It fits snugly, won't round off the notches, and will last through years of motor installs.
Why use it
- Torque to spec: the 3/8" square drive takes a torque wrench.
- No ratchet needed: the 32mm hex works with a regular wrench.
- Complete the set: the outer Bafang nut uses a 16-notch pattern. Pair this with the Lekkie Sixteen-44 socket.
Using a Lekkie Onenut? The Onenut replaces both stock nuts and tightens with the Sixteen-44, so you won't need this 4-notch socket.
