Magic Pie/Black Pie 5 Internal Controller

This is the genuine 25 amp internal controller for the Golden Motor Magic Pie 5 and Black Pie 5 hub motors. Use it to replace a failed controller, or to upgrade a Magic Pie 4 to Magic Pie 5 performance and features.

Will It Fit My Motor?

• Magic Pie 5 / Black Pie 5: direct replacement.
• Magic Pie 4: yes, this controller upgrades any Magic Pie 4 to a Magic Pie 5.
• Original solid-silver Magic Pie controller: yes, but you'll also need the screws, spade plugs and wire clip pack to update the plugs.
• Magic Pie Edge: no, the Edge uses its own Magic Pie Edge Internal Controller.

How to Install

1. Identify your current controller using the video above, and order the plug and screw pack if you have the original silver controller.
2. Power down. Turn the system off and disconnect the battery before you touch any wiring.
3. Swap the controller. Follow our step-by-step controller replacement video. Keep track of the cover screws as you remove them.
4. Reconnect and test. Reconnect the battery and test the motor with the wheel off the ground before you ride.
