Bafang 3000 Watt BBSHD TorqueX Controller (UART)

Plug and play !! Great upgrade

This was a very nice upgrade for my BBSHD

Level 1 only puts out 25 watts sould be more like 100 watts. It’s quicker but I think it puts out less watts I think I lost top speed..gauge measures less watts

This is my second purchase of a Bafang 3000 Watt TorqueX Controller. I put the first one on my Trek Dual 3 Gen 5, and wrote a review for Golden Motor. I liked the performance so much, I had to put one on my 2024 Trek Roscoe 8.
The Trek Roscoe 8 has a stock Bafang BBSHD motor with a 52T Lekkie chainring. There is an Eagle 12 speed cassette in the rear. I run Lekkie Buzz bars with a Lekkie Onenut. The wheels are 29 x 2.6. I use a Bafang 600c display with 5 pedal assists. My battery is a 52v 25ah Jumbo Shark.
After you experience the performance of the Bafang TorqueX Controller you will never want to go back to the stock controller.
I ride ninety-nine percent of the time on the 17T cog in the rear on pedal assist two. The TorqueX Controller is the perfect match for a single speed setup. If I am confronted with a big hill, I switch to pedal assist 3, 4 or 5, and the bike climbs like a rocket. There is never a reason to change gears.
You can easily run a 52T-16 or 46T-15 single speed setup with the TorqueX Controller and it will climb pretty much any hill that you throw at it. I have put a hundred miles on the TorqueX Controller in the last week and it has performed exceptionally.
Golden Motor did an excellent job with packaging, shipping and email notifications. I can get 30 to 60 miles out of my battery, depending on how hard I push the bike. I have been chased by some nasty dogs, and this controller has tremendous torque which has allowed me to easily outrun them. The stock Bafang controller that comes with the motor has half the torque of the TorqueX Controller, and the performance is night and day in comparison.
Installation is easy, and Golden Motor has a video on YouTube. The acceleration is fantastic, and my top speed is 35mph on the flats. I recommend this controller, you won’t regret it.

I purchased the TorqueX controller for my 2024 Trek Duel 3 Generation 5 bicycle. It has 27.5 x 1.95 wheels. I have a stock Bafang BBSHD motor with a 600c display. The bike is set up as a single speed with a 46T Lekkie Bling Ring in the front, and a 18T Surly cog in the rear. I run a KMC X10 chain.
The installation was fairly easy. You have to remove some caulking around one of the plugs, but besides that, the wires are all color coated. I have a Jumbo Shark 52v 25ah battery. Now let’s talk about the performance. I have my motor set up for five pedal assist levels. The TorqueX controller really comes alive for me in pedal assist level 3. The torque and acceleration is like night and day to the stock Bafang controller. The bike feels like it has a turbocharger and accelerates like a rocket. My top speed on the flats is 35 mph. The torque allows me to climb hills much easier. Pedal assist 4 and 5 really moves the bike to top speed. This controller is about low end torque and acceleration. It does exactly what the advertisement reads on the website. I recommend this controller and I hope it lasts for years.
