Product Description

Golden Motor Pedelec sensor ensures seamless pedal-assist functionality, enhancing electric bike performance with smooth, efficient power delivery and easy installation.

- Please note this item does not perform as expected - a real pedelec will sense the pressure on your pedals and adjust the throttle to increase the harder you push and decrease if you push less; the GM pedelec only senses if you are pedaling
- If you pedal, it goes full throttle
- if you don't pedal, it applies no throttle
- This pedelec works well with the small mini motors that freewheel
- With the larger Black Magic and Magic Pie direct drive motors, it's not that good, but it may help with the authorities if you are regulated to require a pedelec
- In that case, you could use this pedelec with a Cycle Analyst to control the power when pedaling
- Update: This pedelec can now successfully be used with MAGIC PIE 5 or SMART PIE 5 CONTROLLERS as long as you use a Smart Display or Bluetooth device to change the pedelec power settings to match you riding speed and conditions

Hi. I tried to use and set the pedal assist on my Magic Pie Edge 500Watt, and it only works at level 5, but these are high speeds, so they're suitable for collision-free long rides. My settings are: I use 12 disk magnets with a 21-speed ratio, which allows me to use level 4 by adjusting the appropriate RPM. I set the acceleration to 49, which doesn't damage the tire and gives a good start. I have a problem with levels 3, 2, and 1 because I have to adjust my pedaling speed for the level to engage with the assist, and the RPMs have to be exceptionally high. So, it's better to turn on the cuis control at a speed set for the conditions and provide pedaling assistance. I'm generally not a fan of this type of pedal-assisted bike, where I have to regulate the assistance and engagement of the pedal by revving the pedals, or the number of revs per minute. I prefer a solution that provides, for example, level 1-30 percent assistance regardless of pedaling speed, which the Gold Motor Pedal-Elec doesn't offer. I can't set individual levels, and it engages at a fixed rpm. Therefore, the Gold Motor Pedal-Elec will rarely be used. The only thing I like about this bike is its smooth acceleration and silent operation.

Product worked exactly as explained. Best option if not using a CA3. Only sends signal when pedaling forward, which is necessary for a trike with reverse gearing. Bonus - The MagicPie-UI now works with iOS!
