Lower gearing for hills and trails, without going extreme
The 36T BBSHD Bling Ring sits between the ultra-low 28T and the popular 42T. It gives you noticeably easier climbing and less motor strain than stock while keeping a usable top speed. Riders often choose it for mountain biking, fat bikes in sand and snow, and hilly commutes.
It's machined from heat-treated 7075 T6 aluminum, far lighter than the stock steel ring. The narrow-wide teeth hold the chain securely over bumps.
Is the 36T right for your bike?
- Great for: hilly terrain, trail riding, fat bikes, internal-gear hubs and single-speed builds.
- Keep in mind: the 36T has a smaller offset (5.2mm) than the 42T, so the chain line sits a bit wider. If perfect chain line on a derailleur bike is the priority, compare it with the 42T Bling Ring.
