Lekkie 42T Bafang BBS02 Bling Ring

The go-to chainring upgrade for BBS01 and BBS02

The stock BBS02 ring is heavy pressed steel with a plastic guard and a chain line that often fights your cassette. The Lekkie 42T Bling Ring replaces it with a CNC-machined 7075 T6 aluminum ring that's dramatically lighter, holds the chain better, and sits with more offset for a cleaner chain line.

As the only ring up front, it uses a narrow-wide tooth profile that locks onto the chain and practically eliminates drops, with thicker teeth for longer wear.

Why riders switch to the 42T

• Better chain line: 9mm offset versus about 5.4mm on the stock ring, so shifting is quieter and smoother.
• Easier climbing: slightly lower gearing than the stock 44–46T ring, with less strain on the motor up hills.
• Much lighter: 147g versus a heavy steel stock ring.
• Stays on: narrow-wide teeth hold the chain over rough ground.
