This short video shows how to take the chainring adapter off a CYC Photon Gen 2 or Photon Pro mid-drive motor. You'll usually need to do this when changing to a different chainring size, replacing a worn chainring, or servicing the drive side of the motor. It's meant for riders and shop techs who already have the motor installed and want to see the process before they start. Watch the full video, take your time, and keep track of every bolt and spacer as it comes off. Need a new chainring? Browse our CYC chainrings and sprockets, or see the CYC Photon Gen 2 and CYC Photon Pro kit pages. If anything doesn't come apart the way the video shows, contact our team before forcing it.
